Flourish

for those who have learned. for the ones who have lived through seasons and endured. for those choosing to flourish.

This collection celebrates growth. Regardless of how we feel about it, change is a sure part of life. This collection looks at the hows and whys of change and how it transforms us.

I’ve learned more about transformation from tending to a garden than I have from just about anything. From unseen to a growing bud to a full-fledged blooming flower and then back to sleep, plants live through a lot. Weather, placement, and sunlight play a huge role in its life. It has neighbors that contribute to its health and growth and wildlife that are always squirreling about. My garden has had different owners, changes of season and light, and shortly after I moved in, a litter of stray kittens bouncing through it. It’s seen some things and endured. Flourished even.

And can’t we relate? We have seasons and need good neighbors. Like an out-of-place kitten litter, we have surprises we don’t know what to do with. But we learn and grow. We, like the tulips, azaleas, and daisies in my yard can flourish even through the change that comes our way.

The pieces in this collection are made of porcelain, but they tell our stories of endurance and transformation. They celebrate our flourishing.
